Cap Series: The Future of Mannequins

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Re-CAP!

For over 20 years, I’ve been using the fantastic mannequin technology formerly known as Snap Cap. Now, under its new name, the Cap Series, this amazing invention has helped my students master their Cosmetology and Barbering skills while also solving the age-old problem of locker and car storage.

Before the Cap Series, it wasn’t uncommon to see my students running back and forth all day, dragging mannequins in and out of their cars—trunks, back seats, you name it. There was simply no room for all those mannequins in their lockers or stations. But once we discovered Snap Cap (now Cap Series), everything changed. Instead of needing ten separate mannequins, my students now only need one headform with ten different caps. And guess what? They can all fit into a large backpack! From a full trunk to a backpack—what a relief!

One Headform. Endless Possibilities

Over the years, my excitement for this product has only grown. I’m obsessed with how versatile it is! With the Cap Series, I can swap out caps—blonde, dark, straight, curly—onto any headform, whether light, medium, or dark. It’s amazing to see my students and educators mixing skin tones and hair textures. This is so true to life, representing every texture and color on every skin tone. Love it!

I’m thrilled to continue using this product not just for its space-saving abilities and diversity, but also the added bonus I’ve come to appreciate even more in recent years—sustainability. This means that not only does the Cap Series produce less waste, but the headform itself is also made of ABS recyclable plastic. What’s even better is that Pivot Point has partnered with Green Circle Salons to introduce a mannequin recycling program, so now you can recycle every component of the Cap Series, including the caps!

As I’ve become more committed to sustainability, it’s great to know that Pivot Point made this commitment many years ago. By using this product, I’m helping the planet and contributing to a more sustainable future.
